LinkedIn ghostwriting in brief

What is LinkedIn Ghostwriting Services?
A ghostwriting retainer built on structured interviews rather than writing briefs, so the output sounds like your thinking, not like an agency.
Who is this for?
Founders with no time to write; CEOs and CXOs; Consultants and advisors; Partner-level professionals.
What does the engagement include?
Voice interview, a recorded session establishing how you actually reason, your vocabulary, sentence rhythm, the arguments you habitually make and the phrases you would never use.; Voice guide, a living document capturing tone, structure, banned phrases, preferred constructions and worked examples of posts that do and do not sound like you.; Theme plan, three to five recurring themes tied to your positioning, with a running bank of specific post angles drawn from real work.; Monthly recording cadence, one 45-to-60-minute session per month, typically producing four to eight substantive drafts.; Drafting and approval, every post drafted from your reasoning, delivered for approval, and edited until it reads as yours. You never publish unapproved text.; Scheduling and reporting, publishing on the agreed cadence, comment strategy, and a monthly report separating output from business signal..
How long does it take?
2 weeks to complete the voice interview, voice guide and first drafts. Then a recurring monthly cycle: record, draft, approve, publish, review.
What does it cost, and how is it priced?
Quoted in writing after the audit. Price follows scope: how many people the narrative has to cover, how many surfaces need rebuilding, and how much drafting Elvare does compared with your own team. There is no public rate card, because a single profile rebuild and a multi-principal programme are not comparable products.
Where is it delivered?
Remote-first across India in IST working hours, with optional in-person working sessions where they materially improve the outcome. Every deliverable is written, so approval never depends on being in a meeting.

What you get

The engagement, item by item

Every deliverable is written down before work starts, so scope disputes have somewhere to go.

  • Voice interview, a recorded session establishing how you actually reason, your vocabulary, sentence rhythm, the arguments you habitually make and the phrases you would never use.
  • Voice guide, a living document capturing tone, structure, banned phrases, preferred constructions and worked examples of posts that do and do not sound like you.
  • Theme plan, three to five recurring themes tied to your positioning, with a running bank of specific post angles drawn from real work.
  • Monthly recording cadence, one 45-to-60-minute session per month, typically producing four to eight substantive drafts.
  • Drafting and approval, every post drafted from your reasoning, delivered for approval, and edited until it reads as yours. You never publish unapproved text.
  • Scheduling and reporting, publishing on the agreed cadence, comment strategy, and a monthly report separating output from business signal.

The problem with ghostwriting

Ghostwriting has a bad reputation, and mostly deserved. The standard model is: an agency takes a brief, generates a batch of posts, and schedules them. The posts are competent. They are also interchangeable, they could have been written about any founder in any category, which is precisely what the audience notices.

The failure is upstream of writing. It is a sourcing problem. The writer has no access to the founder’s actual reasoning, so they substitute generic frameworks, borrowed opinions and hollow certainty.

This service is built to fix the sourcing problem, because everything downstream depends on it.

The model

Record once a month → Extract positions → Draft → You approve → Publish
        ↑ |
└────────────── what worked, what got pushback, what's next ─────────┘

One recording session a month. You talk; we ask questions. We are listening for decisions, disagreements, reversals and specifics, the four things that make content attributable to a person rather than to a category.

The voice guide. Written after the first session and maintained continuously. It captures:

  • Sentence length and rhythm, do you write short and clipped, or long and layered?
  • Vocabulary, the words you use and the ones you would never use
  • Structural habits, do you open with a claim, a story, a question or a number?
  • Banned constructions, for most executives this includes “thrilled to announce”, “delve”, “game-changer”, ”🚀” and anything that reads as engagement bait
  • Worked examples, two or three posts you have written yourself or strongly approved, kept as the reference for future drafts

Approval is not optional. Nothing is published without your explicit sign-off. That is a guarantee, not a feature bullet: the account is yours, the reputation is yours, and you remain the last gate.

What a typical month looks like

WeekActivityYour time
1Recording session, 45 to 60 minutes~1 hour
1–2Drafting against the voice guide-
2Review round one; revisions~20 minutes
3Publish scheduled posts; comment strategy runs-
4Monthly report + theme planning for next cycle~10 minutes

Four to eight substantive posts a month, plus comment strategy on threads where your presence matters more than your post.

What we write and what we do not

We write: positions you hold, lessons from real decisions, explanations of how you think about your category, honest reversals, and specific observations from work you are actually doing.

We do not write: invented client results, fabricated testimonials, statistics we cannot trace to a source, claims about competitors, opinions you do not hold, or engagement-bait formats designed to game distribution.

That second list is longer than most agencies are comfortable with. It is also the reason clients stay: nothing published under your name will need to be quietly deleted later.

What this is not for

  • Volume programmes. If the goal is three posts a day, this is not it.
  • Anonymous company accounts. Ghostwriting works because a named person stands behind the words. A brand account gains nothing from the model.
  • Launching from zero expertise. If there is no body of work to interview against, start with personal branding consulting to build the foundation first.

How we measure

Output is the easy part and the least important. The monthly report leads with:

  1. Approval velocity, how quickly drafts move through review, which is the leading indicator that the programme will survive a busy quarter.
  2. Engagement composition, who is responding. A comment from a target-market buyer is worth more than fifty from peers.
  3. Inbound attribution, how many conversations reference something you published rather than your job title.

Reach and follower counts are recorded for context only.

Fit

How to tell whether this is the right engagement

Most of the value of a consulting relationship is decided before it starts. These are the questions we ask ourselves on a discovery call.

Good fit
  • You have genuine expertise or a real body of work to build on.
  • You can give at least one hour a month of senior attention.
  • You want a position you can defend, not maximum reach.
  • You are willing to measure honestly, including the misses.
Poor fit
  • You need guaranteed rankings, leads or follower counts.
  • The plan depends on engagement pods or undisclosed promotion.
  • There is no capacity to publish anything consistently.
  • You are looking for a substitute for product-market fit.

Questions

LinkedIn Ghostwriting Services, frequently asked

How is this different from buying a pack of posts from a freelancer?
A post pack starts with an assignment and produces text. This starts with your reasoning and produces a consistent position over time. The difference shows up around month three: a freelancer's posts are individually fine but collectively generic, while an interview-led feed accumulates into a recognisable point of view that readers can summarise. The voice guide is what enforces it, it is why two different writers working from the same guide produce material that sounds like the same person.
What do you need from me each month?
One recording session of 45 to 60 minutes, and a review pass on the drafts, usually 20 to 30 minutes. That is roughly an hour and a half a month. If you cannot sustain that, the programme will produce thin content and we would recommend pausing instead. The interviews are the raw material; without them there is nothing to write that could not have been written by anyone.
Will you use AI to write the posts?
We use tools for transcription, research and editing support. We do not publish unreviewed generated text under your name, and we do not use it to invent experiences you have not had. The reason is practical as much as ethical: generated content is recognisable to exactly the buyers you want to impress, and a founder caught publishing it loses more credibility than a month of silence would have cost.
What if I disagree with a draft?
You send it back with a note and it is rewritten. There is no limit on revisions and no charge per revision, because a draft you do not like is a failure of the interview, not of you. In practice most revisions come from one of three things: it is too long, it is too polished, or it makes a stronger claim than you would actually make. The voice guide is updated each time so the same correction is not needed twice.
Can you handle topics that are technically complex?
Yes, and technical founders often do better in this model than in a generalist one. The interview format lets us ask you to explain something as you would to a colleague, which is where the usable writing comes from. The constraint we apply is that we do not publish claims you cannot support, and we will flag anything that reads as a specific number, result or attribution for verification before it goes out.
